Sussex County 4-H Cooking Clubs

Sussex County 4-H cooking clubs offer a variety of experiences to our members. The curriculum for these clubs varies based on the background and experience of the leaders as well as the interests of each club’s members.

Through the National 4-H Curriculum, there are guides to assist clubs in their programs. 4-H clubs are not required to use these guides, but are invited to review them at our office or purchase them online. The Fantastic Foods Series is one such curriculum:

The Fantastic Food curriculum series is designed to help youth have fun in the kitchen as they prepare different foods, do fun experiments, and go on fact-finding missions. The curriculum is designed around six major categories: healthy food selection, smart food purchasing, food safety and science, food preparation, food preservation, and careers and foods around the world.

Current Sussex County 4-H cooking clubs include:

  • Busy Bakers
  • Gourmet Chefs
