Sussex County 4-H
Regular Clubs
A 4-H club consists of members of an organized group of youth, led by an adult, with a planned program that is carried on throughout all or most of the year. 4-H clubs may meet in any location and typically have elected officers and a set of rules approved by the membership to govern the club. Standard 4-H clubs involve youth in grades 4-13 and focus on in-depth learning of one or more projects. 4-H clubs might meet in the community, in schools during school hours, as well as in school age child care settings after school.
In Sussex County our 4-H Clubs are largely community-based. These involve an adult volunteer leader starting a 4-H club in his or her neighborhood with some local children. The club selects one or more projects. The group usually meets about once a month or more often at the leader’s home, county 4-H office or center, or other convenient location(s).
Listed below are the 4-H clubs in Sussex County. We hope to have more information from clubs posted shortly.
If you are interested in joining or volunteering with any of these clubs, please contact the Sussex 4-H Office, 973-948-3040 or email, Dave Foord, 4-H Program Associate
